Nail Models and Practice Clients
You are required to provide two nail models for your program. You will be applying nails on only one of your models’ hands with your Educator present. The models’ second hand is to be applied after your class for practice at your own desk. This will help to determine where your strengths and weaknesses are.
Between Classes
Students are required to practice in between training sessions. A minimum of three to five nail services should be performed between each lesson. This means 12-20 clients.
5 Hours for Theory Review and Exams
Theory Review
Scheduled 6 weeks after the completion of your hands on training with your Education Leader. Theory Review is an important part of the nailbasics program and is required prior to taking your exams.
Practical and Written Exams
You must attain a minimum score of 90% on the practical exam and 75% on the written exam in order to receive your certification as a Professional Nail Technician.
Certification
Once you have completed and passed both exams, your Education Leader will notify the nailbasics head office at which time you will be issued a questionnaire. When your completed questionnaire is returned, a nailbasics Professional Nail Technician certificate and ID card will be presented to you by your Education Leader.
